This tutorial will focus on using video in education making the target audience faculty and students currently associated with an education institution. Other than that, there are no important audience characteristics relevant to participating in the learning unit. As this is a self-paced learning unit, participants have the ability to self-select participation and can disengage at any time.
While anyone who is interested in creating a video can benefit from completing this learning unit, the target audience will be faculty and students currently associated with an education institution as the learning unit will focus on using video in education. While the tasks required to navigate this learning unit are best accomplished with good vision and hearing they are not impossible to complete if you have some physical impairment in these areas. Participants must be able to operate a personal computer, however, this may be done with assistive technology, such as voice recognition, if necessary. There are no other physical prerequisite required. All of the videos presented as part of the instruction process are close captioned.
